Natural Gas Liquids Fractionation Application Sheet

Application Overview:

Natural Gas Liquids are a byproduct of natural gas processing. These liquids include ethane, propane, normal butane, isobutane, and natural gasoline. Many times, these by-products are burned through a flare.  The liquids, however, can be very valuable if recovered and processed. If recovered, the NGLs are typically transported through a pipeline to a second refinery operation. Accurate flow control ensures optimization of recovery and refinement of the liquids, maximizing profits.

Kates Solution:

Kates Automatic Flow Controllers are self-contained units that respond to pressure changes up and downstream to maintain the optimized set flow. Kates is a cost-effective and low-maintenance solution that replaces a traditional multiple-component flow control loop. By actuating the Kates Flow Controller, you can remotely position the flow rate. The Kates is a volumetric flow rate controller and can be calibrated specifically to the media; such as propane, ethane, butane, and natural gasoline. Kates Flow Controllers are cost-effective and have a history of long service life; lasting decades in both gas and liquid applications.
